Governance deficit creating unrest amongst employees: PDP

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 31: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and coordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today asked Government to settle all pending issues of Government employees who are protesting on roads and seeking settlement of their long pending demands.
In a statement, he said that there were certain indisputable demands of Government employees that need immediate Government attention and must also be conceded to without any further delay.
Choudhary Hamid said this was nothing but a governance deficit that was responsible for prevailing unrest amongst employees. Had the Government implemented all those points which it had agreed to about two years back as is being claimed by employees, there would not have been such chaos in the administrative system, he added.
The Government must review all the demands of Government employees and try to address same in chronological order so that they too get something to carry on with their routine works amicably, he said.
