JAMMU, Jan 22: Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) and Deshmesh Hockey Club Nanak Nagar scripted convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Baba Fateh Singh Ji Memorial Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here.
In the first match, GNNHC defeated Hiranagar Hockey Club by (2-1). For GNNHC Sahil Kumar and Tanishpreet netted the goals in 10th and 59th minute, while Romy was the goal scorer for Hiranagar Club in 44th minute.
In another match, Deshmesh Club defeated Zorawar Hockey Club by (5-3) via tie-breaker. Both the teams scored one goal each in the stipulated time.
The matches were officiated BY Jagjeet Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Joginder Singh, Satvir Singh, Iqbal Singh and JS Reen.
Harbanas Singh, senior hockey player was the chief guest on the occasion, while GS Bakshi, General Secretary Hockey J&K was present on the occasion.
