REASI, Feb 7: Inter School Dogri Group Song Competition was organized at cluster level at GMS Kharoti in zone Pouni with the objective to promote Dogri language.
Zonal Education Officer, Harish Kumar Dubey was the chief guest on the occasion and Rajesh Sharma HM MS Kharoti was guest of honour.
Students of seven schools including MS Bhambla , MS Later, MS Godar and MS Dhall etc. participated in the event.
MS Kharoti, MS Doongi and MS Godar were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. Consolation prizes were also given to the participating schools by the chief guest.
Earlier, chief guest Harish Kumar Dubey speaking on the occasion landed the efforts of the management of the schools for taking active participation in the co-curricular activities which was organized form time to time by the zone. Chief guest further stressed upon the teaching community to take concrete steps for implementing Dogri subject at elementary level keeping in view the future of Dogri. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Dharam Paul and Mohinder Dass teachers also recited Dogri poems and songs. Kasturi Lal teacher conducted the proceedings of the programme. Prominent among others present on the occasion were residents of the area besides staff of the participating schools.
