REASI, Jan 9: General Manager (GM), Salal Power Station, AG Ansari, today inaugurated the newly constructed Shopping Complex at Jyotipuram.
AZ Geelani, Chief Engineer (electrical), MG Ghai, Chief Engineer (Civil), Navdeep Singh, Commandant CISF, other senior officers, employees, ladies from NHPC and a number of shopkeepers were present on the occasion. The old shopping complex had been declared unsafe owing its dilapidated condition as the structure had outlived its life. Constructed at a cost of Rs 49 lakh, the Complex contains nine shops which shall be extended in due course.
Expressing happiness over the shifting of market in the new Shopping Complex, Ansari appealed all present, particularly shopkeepers to keep the Shopping Complex neat and clean and stop the use of polythene bags immediately as the use of polythene bag is the main hurdle in success of ‘Swachh Bharat Campaign’ launched by Prime Minister of India. He further said that the said Shopping Complex shall be beautified by development of a park in the available space and fixing fountains there in to give a soothing look to the Complex.
