JAMMU, Feb 3: GLS Public School, Talab Tillo celebrated its Annual Day ‘ATELIER 2019″ amid great passion, vibrancy and exultation at Abhinav Theatre, here.
The function commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Daya Sagar Sharma, renowned columnist, guest of honour, Kashmiri Lal Bhat, Advocate and Member School Management Committee and S. Deep Singh, Chairman of the school.
The lamp lighting ceremony was followed by Gurbani Kirtan and Saraswati Vandana. The stage was lit up with a lively streak of striking performances produced by different segments of the school.
Students showcased their talent through group songs, dances, thematic dance performances, etc.
Dance performances like Bhangra, Kashmiri & Dogri Dances, Rajasthani folk dance and performances on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” and Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan along with Bollywood and Indo- western dance by the kindergarten tiny tots enthralled the audience.
The meritorious students of the last academic session were awarded certificates and medals.
Rupinder Kour of Class 10 was awarded ‘Best Student of the Year’ award and the school honoured two outgoing faculty members namely Ruby Gupta and Reena Gourey for their committed and dedicated services to the institution.
In his speech, KL Bhat shared the vision and mission of the school and emphasized on the importance of moral and cultural values & strong character.
The vote of thanks was presented by Sunita Bhat.
