Glorifying extra Judicial killings

Sir,
The write up of Sunil RP Sethi (“The Inspector” DE dated 26.03.2017), makes us worried about the current state of affairs regarding the safety of women folk, in our state of J & K, yet it also makes us wonder, if we are glorifying extra judicial killings or fake encounters in the name of safeguarding the common and  ordinary citizens rather than taking the legal action on time and arguing in the court of law against the grant of bail of such a horrendous criminal.
If the rule of law will be broken by the upholders of law themselves, we fear of taking ourselves back to dark ages where law of jungle prevailed and people generally believed in “tooth for a tooth” adage.
Though this may be  a work of fiction, by the learned author, yet cannot be appreciated for the fact that a cold blooded murder  of any criminal or any one with a criminal intention cannot be the last resort, which negates the basic principle of our law “kill the crime, not the criminal”.
Yours etc…
