Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, May 19: Senior PCC leader and former MLC Ravinder Sharma has demanded that Government should provide monthly financial assistance to the border migrants apart from quota of free ration and K-oil/fuel to each family, besides deployment of critical care Ambulance in vulnerable border areas, to strengthening the Medicare facilities.
In a press statement here  Sharma said that the Government should provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per family besides grant for fodder and a fixed scale of ration, K-oil/fuel free of cost during the period of migration, as per the practice during Kargil conflict and past Kargil built up tension.
He demanded the deployment of critical care Ambulance in vulnerable areas like Nowshera which are worst hit during the recent period. The fully equipped critical care ambulance would be of great help for the border residents and one such ambulance should remain deployed on Sunderbani- Nowshera -Rajouri Highway so that it can be immediately moved to any location, in view of continued mischief by Pakistan.
Former legislator said that record number over 1345 cease fire violations have taken place during the past three years, which necessitates the strengthening of the health and medicare facilities. During recent causalities in Nowshera sectors, the remote areas of Pukherni, Seri-Makri and Jhangar were without any Ambulance facilities and people had great resentment on this count.
Sharma has submitted a detail report about the genuine issues and demands of the border residents of Nowshera to the AICC for vigorously taking up their demands including migrants’ colony and bunkers and impressed upon the Central Government to fulfill its commitments.
