JAMMU, Jan 2: A girl was raped on the pretext of marriage by a youth in Trikuta Nagar area.
As per police sources, a girl lodged a complaint with police station Trikuta Nagar stating that a youth hailing from Gandhi Nagar, raped her on the pretext of marriage.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 2/17 under Section 376 RPC was registered with police station RS Pura and investigation started.
The girl has been handed over to family members after conducting medical examination, the reports of which were awaited.
However, the accused was not arrested when last reports were compiled.
