Girdawar arrested in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, Mar 5: A girdawar of Revenue Department has been arrested in attempt to murder case.
As per police sources, a girdawar of Revenue Department Hans Raj, son of Vakil Chand, a resident of Kalakam was working in fields along with his tractor when Jamit Ali, son of Fali, a resident of same vicinity along with his associates started stone pelting on Hans Raj and damaged the tractor.
“Hans Raj went to his house and came back along with his licensed pistol and opened fire on Jamit Ali. However, Jamit Ali and his associates escaped unhurt”, police sources said, adding that after getting information, police team rushed to the spot and arrested the girdawar and seized the weapon.
A case under Section 307 RPC and 3/5 RPC has been registered against Hans Raj and a case under Section 331, 323, 336 and 427 RPC has been registered against Jamit Ali.
Further investigations into the cases are going on.
