Excelsior Correspondent
UDHAMPUR, July 4: Thousands of inhabitants of Ghordi and adjoining hamlets continue to remain cut off from mainland Udhampur for the last six days following blockage of Udhampurt- Ghordi road due to landslide.
A population of around 50 thousand from 27 villages, including Barmeen, Bhugtrian, Birnoo, Nalla Ghoran and Dalser etc are suffering because of the landslide and consequent blockage of the road, which is only surface link for them to Udhampur.
Alleging no action by the administration to clear the blockage and improve the road condition, locals of village Ghordi and adjoining area also held a protest demonstration today and raised slogans against the Government.
