Ghagwal Police rescues 4 bovine animals

JAMMU, Oct 5: Ghagwal Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued four bovine animals.
A police party of police station Ghagwal headed by SI Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Ghagwal during vehicle checking at Naka Tapyal, signaled a Mahindra load carrier vehicle bearing Registration. No. JK08B-7064 to stop, which, was coming from Kathua side. On seeing Police party, the driver tried to flee from the spot but police chased the driver and he abandoned the vehicle at Jatwal and fled from the spot.
During checking of the vehicle, four bovine animals were found laden inside the vehicle which was being transported illegally without any permission. The vehicle and the bovine animals were seized and a case FIR No.89/2017 U/S 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, 183/MV Act has been registered at police station Ghagwal and investigation is going on to nab the driver.
The drive was launched under the direction of the Anil Magotra,  SSP Samba and close supervision of  Tanveer Ahmed Dy.SP Hqrs Samba.
