Ghagwal police rescues 13 bovine animals

SAMBA, Nov 6:  Ghagwal police has rescued 13 bovine animals during checking at Tapyal Naka early this morning.
A Police Party of PS Ghagwal headed by SI Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Ghagwal under close supervision of  Tanveer Ahmed, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, during vehicle checking at Naka Tapyal, signalled a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-7209 to stop which was coming from Kathua side. On seeing Police Party, the driver tried to flee from the spot but after chase he abandoned the vehicle at Sandhbhari, Jatwal and escaped from the spot.
During checking of the vehicle, 13 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle, who were being transported illegally.  The vehicle and the bovine animals were seized and a case FIR No. 97/2017 U/S 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, 184/MV Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal. Further investigation is going on to nab the driver.
The rescuing of these bovine animals is a part of continuous drive against the bovine smuggling launched by District Police Samba under the directions of  Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
