SAMBA, Dec 4: Ghagwal police today arrested one person after recovering one kg of poppy straw from his possession during patrolling at Raghuchak area falling under the jurisdiction of Ghagwal PS.
Acting on specific information received from DSB Samba, a police party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal, SI, Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of Tanveer Ahmed, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba during patrolling in Raghuchak area intercepted one person namely Riaz Ahmed S/o Mohd Azim R/o Rai tehsil Ghagwal district Samba and recovered 1 kg poppy straw from his possession.
In this regard a case FIR No. 103/2017 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation is going on. The operation was carried out under the guidance and overall supervision of Raja Adil Hamid, JKPS I/C SP Samba.
