General Observers, DEO brief Micro-Observers

DODA, Nov 22: In order to acquaint the Micro-Observers  about the instructions of the Election Commission of India, operation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and other aspects of election process, the General Observer Bhaderwah Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, General Observer Doda Dev Raj Dev  along with District Election Officer ( Deputy Commissioner) Doda Shyam Vinod Meena today briefed Micro-Observers, besides training was also imparted to them by master trainer.
While speaking on the occasion, General Observer Bhaderwah instructed the Micro-Observers to remain unbiased in performing their duty as an observer, besides he instructed them to remain vigilant and inform immediately to the General Observer if they notice any activity which can vitiate the election process.
Further Mr. Bhalla impressed upon the Micro Observers to ensure that no political party or political agent should force or influence any voter. He also informed that all the Micro-Observers are being deployed randomly on the critical and sensitive polling stations.
General Observer Doda also apprised the Micro-Observers about the procedure of election process and the activities to be noted by them. He said that Micro-Observers have to reach on their respective Polling Station before the start of mock poll and ensure that mock poll is conducted in presence of election agent of all contesting candidates. No political campaign should be allowed with in the radius of 100 Mtr of the Polling Station, he further said.
Besides Dev Raj Dev briefed the Micro-Observers about the role of entire polling party and procedure of  monitoring to be followed by them  for the free and fair conduct of elections.
Earlier, DEO Doda conveyed the instructions of the Election Commission of India to the Micro- Observers. He said that Micro-Observers have to work directly under control and supervision of General Observers, besides he conveyed that after the poll Micro-Observers have to submit upon to the General Observers about activities of Poll day for each polling booth under his jurisdiction as per format and at a multi-Polling station building location, the Micro-Observer deployed will oscillate between and visit the polling stations within the same  campus at frequent intervals.
