‘Geetiyan’ to hit silver screen again on public demand at Hari Cinema

JAMMU, Apr 17: Once again on public demand Geetiyan (Chapter -2) will hit the silver screen from April 18 at Hari Cinema, here.
The success of movie which was running for the fifth consecutive week at KC Cineplex undoubtedly depicts that there is no dearth of talent in the ‘City of Temples’.
Astonishingly, all the major critics in the field have lavishly supported each and every aspect of ‘Geetiyan’ besides people moving out from their cozy places to witness the endeavour which consequently proved out to be the best ever successful commercial film in Dogri Cinema world.
This was the first instance when stakeholders of a Dogri film never publicized that people should watch the movie for the sake of promoting Dogri language neither traditional props were used to attract cine-viewers.
The movie turned out to be a big hit with all five shows per day running house full that too without any lucrative offers or concessions.
Prof Lalit Magotra, president, Dogri Sanstha lauded the efforts of local artists for proving their mettle in making a successful Dogri film without using traditional wardrobes and local ‘Tadka’.
Endorsing Magotra’s thought, eminent Dogri writer, Mohan Singh said that ‘Geetiyan’ is the result of positive approach and an honest endeavour.
Renowned writer in Urdu and Punjabi languages, Khalid Hussain while praising the spadework accomplished by the crew of ‘Geetiyan’ said that his experience watching this movie was splendid. He said that ‘Geetiyan’ is in no way less than any other Bollywood thriller.
Now the coming days will decide how the film is acknowledged in its second innings and critics are hopeful that it could break the previous records of the Dogri films, added Hussain.
