Geelani in ICU after chest pain

Srinagar, Feb 2: Hardline Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, was hospitalized last night after he complained of chest pain, but is now stable.
A Hurriyat spokesman said Geelani was shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Medical Institute of Sciences (SKIMS) Soura here after he complained severe chest pain where several tests including ECG were repeatedly conducted. He was later admitted in medical ICU and continues to be under constant monitoring by specialists, the spokesman added.
He said that respiratory system of 87-year old Geelani is being closely watched and the doctors attending him suggested few investigations which were later found satisfactory. “The ailing leader is now stable and feeling better,” he said and appealed people to pray for his speedy recovery.
