JAMMU, Sept 1: GDC Udhampur outplayed GDC Paloura by a margin of 5 goals in the inauguration match of the Inter-Collegiate Handball (Men & Women) Tournament 2015-16, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity Sports Stadium, here.
GDC Udhampur got better of GDC Paloura by 12 goals to seven (12-7). Manash Sharma and Anuj Mahajan were the star performers from GDC Udhampur, while Prince Sharma played brilliantly from GDC Paloura.
The matches were organized under the supervision of Prof. Dhian S Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Narayani Jamwal, Suman Sharma, Vijay Kumari, Balbir Singh Chib, Romesh Sharma, Dr Brij Baloria, Ravish Vaid and Gagan Kumar were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Gourav Sharma, Taqdeer Singh, Amit Sharma and Vinay Sharma.
In women Section GWC Parade, GCW Gandhi Nagar and P.G. Department got walkover against GDC Paloura, GDC Samba and GCW Udhampur respectively.
The matches were conducted by Vikas Karlopia.
