JAMMU, Oct 1: Department of English, Government Degree College Doda organized a debate competition on “Women Empowerment”, in which six students participated.
On the occasion, MLC Doda Khalid Najeed Suharwardy was the chief guest, while guest of honour was SSP Doda MS Chauhan. Principal Hashmi and Presiding Officer GDC Doda Prof ZA Hashmi were also present.
MLC along with other dignitaries including Convener magazine Dr Wahied Khawar Balwan released the College magazine “Kohsaar”.
In the competition, Romana, Deepti and Sumaya were adjudged as first, second and third respectively.
The jury members were Dr Wahied Balwan, Prof Falak, Prof Ashwani and Prof Rafaqat.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Prof Sheraz, whereas in the end, vote of thanks was presented by Prof Babu Ram.
The whole programme was compeered by Safia Natnoo and Munisha Katoch, students of BSc Part III.
