GDC Kishtwar registers big win in Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tourney

JAMMU Nov 6: Govt Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar registered a big win by 103 runs over GDC Thanna Mandi in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate (Men) Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of  Sports & Physical Education, University of  Jammu at the University Cricket Ground, here.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Earlier, GDC Kishtwar won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, GDC Kishtwar scored a good total of 183 for the loss of 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, GDC Thanamandi bundled out for a paltry total of 80 runs, thus lost the match by 103 runs.
In another match, GCET registered a thrilling victory by 2 runs over Govt Dental College Jammu.
The toss was won by Dental College and decided to field first.
Put into bat, GCET scored 119 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
In reply, Dental College scored 117 runs  for  the loss of  8 wickets, thus GCET won the match in an exciting contest by 2 runs.
