JAMMU, Sept 28: Government Degree College (GDC), Kargil today celebrated its first ever annual day.
On the occasion, Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan was the chief guest, while Executive Councilor Mohammad Hussain and Syed Hassan Musavi were guest of honour. Deputy Commissioner Kargil Kacho Hassan Khan, Additional SSP Kargil Mohammad Jameel, Councilors and Army officials were also present.
During the program, students presented colourful programmes including Purgi, Sheena and Balti cultural dances.
Prizes were also distributed among the college alumni during the function.
While speaking on the occasion, CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan stressed on women education and added that he will take up the college related issues with Chief Minister and Education Minister.
“We are going to shift DIET campus from here and we will try our best to give good environment to the students for studies”, he stated.
