JAMMU, Sept 18: Trouncing their rivals convincingly in the finals, Government College for Women (GCW) Parade and Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua lifted the women and men titles respectively in the Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho (Men and Women) Tournament, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University ofg Jammu, here.
In women’s section, GCW Parade defeated PG Department by 1 point (03-02), while in men’s section, GDC Kathua beat GDC Samba by 1 point (08-07).
Prof Naresh Padha, Dean Sciences, Chief Coordinator Campuses and Rector Kathua Campus was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed the prizes among the winners along with Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Mahesh Sharma, Balbir Chib, Suman Lata, Dr Brij Baloria, Ramesh Mangotra, Munish Charak, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia and Gagan Kumar.
The officiating panel included Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Anil Kumar, Dheeraj, Jagdev Singh and Gagan Kumar.
