PG Deptt wins Boxing Championship

JAMMU, Oct 17: PG Department will take on GCW Gandhi Nagar in the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Volleyball (W) Tournament 2018-19, being organized by the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Volleyball Court, here.
Earlier, in the 1st semifinal, GCW Gandhi Nagar drubbed GCW Parade, while in another semifinal, PG Department defeated GDC Medhar by (2-1) sets.
The matches were officiated by Amit Sharma,S. Amarjit Singh, Mulhraj, Naresh Kumar and Vikas Karlopia.
The Tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director of Sports & Physical Education University of Jammu.
The final match of the Tournament will be played on October 19, 2018.
Meanwhile, in Inter-Collegiate Cricket (M) Tournament 2018-19, GDC Doda defeated SPMR Commerce College by 8 wickets; GDC Poonch beat IMS Patoli by 7 wickets; GDC Reasi trounced MAM College by 2 runs and GMC College Jammu beat MBS College Jammu by 6 wickets.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Saleem-ur-Rehman, Sadiq Hussian, Rahul Kumar and Raj Kumar Bakshi.
In Inter-Collegiate Boxing Championship, the bouts were played today at Boxing ring, University of Jammu.
The overall Trophy was lifted by the PG Department of University of Jammu. This Championship 2018-19 is being conducted under the supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba Director, Directorate Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Akash Bhola was the special guest during the boxing Championship.
The bouts were officiated by Sanjeev Singh Jamwal, Raj Singh BSF, Gautam Sharma, Inder Singh BSF, Rohit Kumar, Sarafaraz, Harinder Pal Singh and Jai Bharat.
