JAMMU, Dec 27: Vice Chairman, State Advisory Board for the Development of Gujjars and  Bakerwals,  Choudhary Zaffar Ali today resigned from his post, raising serious allegations.
Ch Zaffar Ali, having status of Minister of State, today submitted his resignation to the party president and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is also Chairperson of the Advisory Board.
Hailing from Kokernag area of  Kashmir,  Ch Ali,  in his resignation letter, alleged that even after holding the chair for the last three years, he was vested with no powers as Vice-Chairman. “Even the Plan for the  Tribal community was being decided without his consent or taking him into confidence. This chair was ignored by the people at the helm of affairs while preparing developmental plan under TSP and SCA, ” he said.
” The people used to come to me with the hope to get their genuine demands addressed but I had to cut a sorry figure as I had no powers vested with me. I was being ignored in laying down the foundation stones of even the hostels which were running under my control without even informing me. It clearly shows the attitude of the party towards me,” Ali maintained.
He also referred to some allegations being raised against him with regard to his ‘affiliation with other party’. He said his blood relations belonged to other party and if he is invited in family programs, he has to go. “And connecting such events with his party lines and raising baseless allegations makes no sense.” I can not ignore  my blood relations in the community for any party or organization,” Ali maintained in his letter.
