JAMMU, Oct 1: A shop of readymade garments was gutted in fire near Jama Masjid, Mendhar, here today.
The mysterious fire broke out this evening at `Khaki Readymade’ and soon engulfed the entire shop thus causing a major loss to the shopkeeper, identified as Khalid Ahmad, son of Ghulam Hussain.
Despite hectic efforts by the Fire Brigade, all the garments in the shop were reduced to ashes thus causing a major loss to the shopkeeper.
Cause of fire could not be established.
