Ganga provides funds for Power Sub Station in Digiana Industrial Estate

JAMMU, Jan 30: In an impressive function organized by Small Scale Industries Association, Digiana, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, today handed over a cheque of Rs 85 lakh to Chief Engineer, M&RE, Jammu, Ashwani Gupta as part payment to start the work of Power Sub Station of 6.3MVA at Industrial Estate, Digiana.
While speaking on the occasion, Ganga said that this Power Sub Station will supply 24 hours uninterrupted power supply to the Industrial Estate Digiana and will give boost to manufacturing sector. He also issued on the spot directions to the Chief Engineer, M&RE, to complete the Power Sub Station before April 30 this year.
President of the Small Scale Industries Association, Digiana, said that after a long struggle of more than 20 years, the present Government has took the initiative to save the Micro and Small Industries of Jammu while the previous Governments only gave fake assurances to these small industrialists despite the fact that Industrial Estate Digiana is the first Industrial Estate established in J&K at a time when nobody was aware of the importance of the industries.
General secretary of the association, Anil Modi, MD, SICOP, RL Tikkoo, chairman, FOI, Rajesh Jain  and General Manager, DIC Jammu, Baldev Singh Bloweria were also present.
