Ganga kick starts work of water supply scheme for Bazigar Basti

SAMBA, June 7: MLA Vijaypur and former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga today kick started work on distribution system to Bazigar Basti Kartholi under Rs. 1.49 crore  under Water Supply Scheme (WSS), Bari Brahmana Town IInd.
The MLA had a comprehensive review of the works constructed so far under the WSS and exhorted upon the concerned officers to ensure completion of this ambitious project within the set timelines.
Ganga, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, said that during the regime of present Government several development works have been executed in the Bazigar Basti thus making the village a better place to live in. He said that recently development works worth Rs. 50 lakh have been completed including construction of tubewell, lanes and drains, roads, education and healthcare infrastructure besides up gradation of transformers etc. This Basti has now emerged as an urban like area thus enabling people here to live a more comfortable and convenient life, he added.
“Development has always been the priority of present dispensation, both at Center and State, and it has been a firm commitment of Modi Government to empower the people of rural and far off areas with modern infrastructural facilities and enhanced opportunities of progress and prosperity”, the MLA maintained.
The MLA said that after witnessing rapid growth and development in the State even the opposition groups have also recognized and appreciated the endeavors of present Governments. They can compare the works executed in their tenure and the development registered by the present dispensation, he added. He said that the role of opposition is not mere to criticize the party in power rather has a very crucial and constructive role in ensuring an effective development.
Referring to a number of Centrally sponsored projects being implemented in the State, the MLA said that with the liberal financial assistance from the Centre the State has entered into a new era of progress and prosperity. “Poor and under privileged segments of the society have been the biggest beneficiaries in the Modi led Government”, he asserted while hailing the pro-poor policies and programmes of the Centre.
