Gang of thieves busted, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Feb 20: Chatha police busted a gang of thieves with the arrest of three burglars and recovery of stolen property worth several lakhs.
As per official spokesman, a team from Chatha police post under Operation Meghdhoot arrested three thieves.
The accused have been identified as Nobel Singh, son of Gurbachan Singh of Talab Tillo, Balbir Singh, son of Mool Raj of Nandwal and Rajinder Kumar, son of Nirmal Singh of Darsopur.
They were involved in four burglary cases registered with Satwari police station under FIR Number 09/17, 13/17, 24/17 and 26/17.
On their disclosure, police recovered stolen items including one Scorpio vehicle, one laptop, iron plates and springs compressor machine.
Investigation into the cases registered against the accused are going on and more recoveries are expected in near future.
Police team led by Incharge Chatha police post SI Sandeep Charak and Incharge Gadigarh police post SI Jaswinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Manjeet Singh, SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
