Ganesh Mahotsav will commence from August 25

JAMMU, May 13: The ninth edition of Shri Ganesh Mahotsav as usual will commence with installation of Shri Ganpati Murti at Mahalaxmi Narayan Mandir, Gandhi Nagar Jammu on August 25, this year.
This was stated by Sanjay Shastri Ji, chairman Bhartiya Vedic Sansthan, Jammu while addressing a press conference along with Maha Mandleshwar Rameshwar Dass Ji and Raj Kumar Gupta, national vice president Bhartiya Modi Army.
He said the Murti installation function will start on 10 am sharp and it will culminate at 12-45 pm on the same day.
He said Ganesh Puran Katha will be held daily 3pm to 6pm from August 25 to September 4. The Ganesh Yagya will be held daily from 9am to 2pm from August 25 while Ganesh Leela and Bhajan Sandya will be held daily from August 25 to September 5 from 8-30 pm to 10-30pm and Puran Ahuti will be performed on September 4 at 12-00 noon.
He said the Murti visarjan (immersion) will be performed on September 5 at 5pm. The procession will be taken from Maha Laxmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar , Jammu to river Chenab Akhnoor where the Murti immersion will take place.
Acharya Ji appealed all the devotees and public in particular to participate in Shri Ganesh Mahotsav for peace and prosperity of the State. He also informed that a Vishal Bhandara will continue throughout the programme.
On the occasion, annual Shree Ganesh new edition, the 5th Vinayak Vandhana annual Magazine-2017 was also released.
In response to a question Mahant Rameshwar Dass Ji said expressed grave concern over Kashmir situation and said that terrorism and Jehadi movement should be crushed with iron hands.
