Srinagar, May 17: After successful culmination of all pool A and pool B matches among 42 teams, Ganderbal Football League (GFL) entered into an exciting phase where top eight teams will test one another for the coveted trophy.
A defence spokesman said locals thronged the venue in large numbers cheering for their favourite teams and egging on the players. In the matches played on May 16 and May 17, Football Club Kangan beat Sindh Stars of Sindhbal by 3-2 in a keenly contested match, while Football Club Wakura beat Football Club Kacchan by 6-2 in a rather one sided contest.
