Srinagar, Feb 27: Ganderbal Badminton League that was organized by the Army ended today with a participation of more than hundred girls in the event.
The Army spokesperson said more than 100 girls from the adjoining areas displayed their shuttling expertise in the event, “In the league cum knockout tournament the matches were played in singles as well as in doubles category. On Sunday, the finals were played between well deserving participants”, he said.
He said Sara Quadri clinched the singles trophy whereas the doubles trophy was taken home by the duo of Ms Azra and Shareaza.
He further said it was truly an enthralling culmination to an eventful competition, which spread a sense of joy to not only the participants but also to their parents.
