JAMMU, July 28: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, organized Science Week from July 21 to July 26, 2014.
Science Exhibition was the main attraction for the students, in which their self made models like Hydraulic lift, electroplating unit, wind mills, utilization of solar energy, hand generator etc were displayed.
The Slogan for the exhibition was ‘Making Science Popular’.
Science Quiz was organized for classes VI to XII.
The students were very enthusiastic about it. Role play with Science based theme was done by Class V students, in the special morning assembly.
A Poster Drafting competition was held for all classes on the theme ‘Science in Everyday Life’. Students also performed activities and experiments to check adulteration in Milk, Cottage cheese (paneer), Khoya, condensed milk, ice-creams, coffee etc.
They were very enthusiastic about it.
The Principal of the School, Dr R P Singh appreciated the efforts of all Science teachers in developing scientific temperament and attitude in the students.
