Furniture, barber shops gutted

BHADERWAH, May 2: Two shops were gutted in fire at village Seri.
As per police sources, fire broke out in a furniture shop probably due to short circuit. The fire later spread to the adjacent barber shop.
The furniture shop was owned by Suresh Kumar, son of Dev Raj of Merda, Seri and barber shop belongs to Anjil Kumar, son of Sansar Chand of Seri.
After getting information, a team from Bhaderwah police station led by SHO Inspector Jatinder Sambyal rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Service.
The fire fighters along with fire tenders reached the spot and doused the flames.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss was not ascertained yet.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started to ascertain the cause of the fire.
