NEW DELHI: The Government today said it is fully seized of the security needs of the country and regularly reviews the threat perception to secure the borders.
Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre stated this in the Rajya Sabha in response to a query on whether the country’s defence capability needs to be enhanced in view of the ongoing standoff with China in Doklam.
“The Government is fully seized of the security needs of the country. Government regularly reviews the threat perception to secure our borders and protect national interest,” Bhamre said.
He said appropriate measures are taken from time to time to maintain the defence preparedness along the borders to safeguard the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of India. (AGENCIES)
