Full Court condoles demise of Kalam, 2 former CJIs

JAMMU, July 31: Full Court of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar today, has condoled the sad demise of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, former President of India and two former Chief Justices of India, Justice M M Punchhi and Justice Y K Sabharwal.
The Full Court paid homage to these three great sons of the nation. “The death of Dr Kalam, Justice M M Punchhi and Justice Y K Sabharwal has created a vacuum in the fields of science and law”, said the condolence reference released by the Registrar General of State High Court, Kaneez Fatima.
“But, as we know that man is mortal and a day comes when every human being is to leave this world, only the good deeds remain in the minds of the people for times to come”, the condolence reference said.
“We stand by the families of Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, Justice M M Punchhi and Justice Y K Sabharwal in this hour of grief”, the reference said.
Chief Justice of State High Court, Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar has directed the Registrar General to send the copies of the condolence reference to the bereaved families.
