FTII Pune, SRFTI Kolkata announce JET for 2018 admissions

JAMMU, Jan 16: Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) Kolkata, which come under Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, have announced Joint Entrance Test (JET) for 2018 admissions, which will be conducted February 18 in 26 centres across the country including Jammu and Srinagar.
This information was shared today by Pankaj Saxsena, senior faculty member, FTII Pune and Shubhashish Roy, Faculty Member, FTII, Pune during a maiden admission seminar organized by Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) in collaboration with FTII Pune and SRFTI Kolkata.
Both the faculty members have an information session with a huge number of students from different schools, colleges and institutes of Jammu city. While elaborating the courses of the FTII and SRFTI, India’s two most reputed centres of film and television education, Saxsena and Roy detailed about the different courses and also how to apply.
The seminar began with the welcome address by the PCJ president, Ashwani Kumar, who detailed that how PCJ in collaboration with FTII has organized this maiden admission seminar in Jammu and how it will be fruitful in the coming years for the youth of Jammu, who are aspiring to be part of Bollywood in different means and want to adopt Film and Television world as a professional.
Director Information, Munir-Ul-Islam, while addressing the students and guest faculty members of FTII, announced that scholarships will be given to the student of J&K, who get selected for FTII courses.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Dinesh Manhotra, Sanjit Khajuria, Ajay Bachloo, Vishal Bharti, Surjit Singh, Dinesh Mahajan, Nishikant Khajuria, Pawan Sharma and Deepak Khajuria (all from PCJ) also attended the seminar.
