NEW DELHI, Dec 9: Freight rates for the nine-tonne payload section for Patna, Surat and Pune rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following shortage of trucks amid busy cargo movements.
Transporters said less availability of trucks and increased cargo movements mainly pushed up above mentioned freight rates.
Delhi to Surat, Pune and Patna freight rates went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 26,000, Rs 31,000 and Rs 25,000.
Elsewhere, rest other centres freight rates stood silent on some support.
