A defence spokesman said the noble initiative received an overwhelming response from the parents of the tiny tots of the adjoining areas. “On the first day more than 30 students attended the classes,” he said.
The free tutions have been started with an aim of preparing the children to cope up with the studies which have been largely affected due to internal disturbance, the spokesman said, adding that classes will be conducted on all working days and will continue throughout the winter vacations.
