Free medical camps aimed to help poor, needy: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Sept 16: Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas today said trees contribute in protection of environment by providing Oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in Carbon Dioxide and produce the Oxygen we breathe for which we as responsible citizens must come forward and make our city as green as we can.
He was speaking after inaugurating medical cum awareness camp at Ranbir Higher Secondary School where massive plantation drive was also carried out by involving students. The medical camp was  organised by Arogya Foundation of India where MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and BJP vice president Yudhvir Sethi were special invitees. Manhas said this medical camp has been organized with the aim of free check up and free treatment.
When people and especially poor do not get free treatment or subsidy for treatment they stop follow up. While organizing health camps follow up becomes one of the important ingredient in quality health camps, he said adding that Yudhvir Sethi had been organizing such camps to ensure that medical aid reaches poorest of poor. More such camps must be organized for welfare of people, he added.
Yudhvir Sethi after inauguration of medical camp inaugurated the medicinal plants and distributed abut 200 saplings to the students. In the medical camp students and staff of Ranbir Higher Secondary School were also examined by doctors and provided with free medicines. Bone marrow density tests were also conducted on the spot.
Yudhvir Sethi in his address said that protection of environment is a must and simultaneously we must also work towards prevention of diseases. He said that prevention is better than cure.
The function was presided by Dr Mukul Bhatia nation coordinator Arogya foundation.
BJP he said intends to reach each and every individual when it comes to providing medical care to deserving people. Awareness and preventive  education  was given by Arogya  State convener, Dr. Bias and  Arogya adviser Dr. Vikrant and Dr. Kalash were present in entire programe which was organized under supervision of State Arogaya  president Dr. VIkas Sharma, organizing secretary Chander Manhas, secretary & media incharge Arogya Ashish Sareen.
Among others who were present on the occasion Baldev Baloweria (District President B.J.P) and Shafkat Chib Principal (Ranbir Higher Secondary School).
