Four thieves arrested, stolen items recovered

JAMMU, Mar 28: Chinore police worked out a theft case within 24 hours with the arrest of four burglars and recovery of stolen items worth Rs 37,000 from their possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Vivek Sharma of Bharat Nagar with police post Chinore stating that some unknown person barged into his shop at Durga Nagar today and decamped with video games and some accessories.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 105/17 under Section 454 and 380 RPC was registered at Domana police station and investigation started.
With the help of footage of CCTV camera installed in the lane, the accused were identified and accordingly arrested.
The accused have been identified as Nikhil Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Roop Nagar, Sahil, son of Chaman Lal of Durga Nagar, Ankush Haskar, son of Anil Haskar and Vishal Bhat, son of Chaman Lal of Durga Nagar.
Stolen items worth Rs 37,000 were recovered on their disclosure.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by Incharge Chinore police post SI Rajesh Verma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Rattan Singh Rana, SDPO Domana Varinder Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
