Four injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Dec 5: Four persons were injured today in two separate road mishaps in City outskirts.
“Two pedestrians identified as Sansar Chand (60) son of Buti Ram, resident of Channi and Imitiaz Ahmed Wani (45) son of late Ghulam Din Wani, resident of Narwal, were walking along the road this morning when a truck trailer bearing registration number JK09-8351 hit and injured them at Narwal,” a police official said.
He said both the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu where their condition was stated to be stable. “In this connection, a case has been registered in concerned police station and driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Shabir Ahmed son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Langate (Kupwara), arrested,” the official added.
Meanwhile, a rashly driven car hit and injured two pedestrians in Sidhra area. The injured persons who were identified as Ramzan Mohd (40) son of Shan Mohd, resident of Malik Market and Balbir (35) son of Krishan Singh of Bajalta, were shifted to GMCH. Nagrota police had taken cognizance of the matter.
