Four CRPF personnel injured in militant grenade attack in Sopore

BARAMULLA: Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured, one of the critically, when militants hurled a hand grenade towards a patrol party in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday, official sources said.
They said militants lobbed a hand grenade towards a CRPF patrol at Sangrama chowk, Sopore, resulting in injuries to four CRPF. The injured were rushed to hospital where the condition of one of them is stated to be critical.
A civilian was also reportedly injured in the attack.
Security forces have immediately cordoned off the area and launched a massive hunt to nab the militants responsible for the attack.
So far no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
However, a police spokesman in a tweet said that initial report said two CRPF were injured and a search operation has been launched.
