Forum discusses burning issues of ReT cadre

UDHAMPUR, Oct 1: Monthly meeting of All J & K ReT Teachers Forum was held here today under the presidium of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar.  The meeting was attended by the representatives of ReT Forum from all the eleven zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the burning issues of ReT cadre and demanded the release of SSA salary of SSA Teachers before the Diwali so that these teachers may be able to celebrate this pious festival. He also demanded release of arrears of ReTs regularized since 2014 onwards who have been waiting for the same quite patiently.
The Forum president stressed for a comprehensive transfer policy for regularized ReT teachers so as to make them at par with the general line teachers, regularization of ReTs having degrees from out of State UGC recognized universities and ReTs having less enrolment in their schools whose schools have not been merged due to geographic conditions.
He appealed the Education Minister to resolve all the issues of ReT cadre for the welfare of thousands of ReTs of the State who have been working in far flung areas of the State.
Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the Chief Education officer Udhampur to grant post facto permission in favour of the teachers whose files are lying in CEOs office for a long time. He also demanded the release of Mid Day Meal dues of the teachers so that they may be able to run the scheme smoothly.
Others,  who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Pritam Goswami Chain Singh, Vipin Sharma, Anil Sharma, Sushil Singh,  Sandeep Sharma, Bharat Bhushan Singh Thakur, Rekha Rani  and  Mohd Mukhtyar.
