SRINAGAR, Sept 28: In the ongoing State Football League, three matches were played at Polo Ground and Synthetic Turf TRC, here.
In the first A-Division match played at Polo Ground, Islamic University FC defeated Mohammedan Football Club by 2:0 goals in a close contest. Mosin and Musaib were the scorers for the winning team.
In a 2nd A-Division match played at Synthetic Turf TRC, Fort View Football Club beat FC Biscoe XI by a solitary goal (1-0). Both the teams played aggressively throughout the match, but it was Fort View FC which could sustain the pressure till the end and emerge victorious. Javed Ahmad was the scorer for the winning team. FC Biscoe missed two three open net chances.
In Premier-Division match also played at Synthetic Turf TRC, between JK SPDC XI and State Football Academy, both the teams tried hard to take lead but no one was able to score the goal till the final whistle. Touseef from SFA was declared as footballer of the match for his brilliant performance.
