Former SSP takes stock of people’s grievances

JAMMU, Feb 3: SSP (Rtd) Bhupinder Singh, a social worker visited Kotli Rayian area of RS Pura and interacted with the people of the village.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “gone are the days when we were a mute spectator of growing problems and now it is the time to bring about a concrete solution to major, if not all problems and as a responsible and respectable citizen of a country, we have to do a major exercise—selection of right candidate during the elections”.
“For that you have to gather as much as information you required from all the sources and seek the opinions from majority of people about the past track record of the candidates to ascertain whether he is well experienced, well qualified, trust worthy, understand most of the issues and is able to take your voice to the highest authorities and the most important thing that he is not having criminal background and is able to support local administration to work fairly & smoothly”, he said.
“Leadership is about long term vision for the country and moving towards that goal with good administrative skills”, he further said.
Mr Singh also listened the issues and problems being faced by the locals like excessive electricity bills, worst road conditions and ration-card issues. He assured that their issues will be taken up with the concerned departments and all efforts will be made to sort out the same.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Baghwan Singh, Ch Jaswant Singh, Ch Dewan Chand, Ch Satpal, Romesh Kumar, Mohinder Kumar, Raj Kumar, Gurdeep Singh and Ch Chuni Lal.
