JAMMU, Sept 15: Employees of Forest Department today held protest demonstrations at all Forest Divisions of Jammu province, under the banner of Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) in support of their demands.
At Jammu division, the protest was launched under the chairmanship of provincial president, NGFOA, Haji Zafferullah Sheikh, president, Class IV employees and members of NGFOA.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh highlighted the demands of the employees, which included DPC of Class IV employees, regularization of all daily wagers working since 1994, change of designation for the post of Helper alleging stagnation in the Cadre, and renaming of need based workers as permanent daily wagers.
He also said that there should be no need of vigilance clearance in all the non-gazetted cadre of employees.
He warned the Government of dire consequences if their demands were not consider seriously.
