Foreigners among several escape unhurt, 1 injured in accident

LEH, July 10: Two foreigner passengers were among several others, who escaped unhurt in the accident, while one person received minor injuries, when the bus they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Bokhshol Pandrass area near Drass, here.
As per police sources, a J&K SRTC bus bearing registration number JK01Y-0470 was on its way to Kargil from Srinagar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Bokhshol Pandrass area, 8 kilometers before Drass, this afternoon.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. Two foreigners hailing from France and UK were among nine persons, who escaped unhurt in the incident.
One person namely Javed from Chattabal, Srinagar received minor injuries and was discharged after being treated at Drass Hospital.
Concerned police has taken cognizance in this regards.
