FOIJ delegation interacts with Commissioner CT Deptt

JAMMU, Aug 9: A delegation of Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) led by its Chairman Lalit Mahajan met M Raju, Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department.
Rattan Dogra, Vijay Aggarwal, Deepak Dhawan, Co-Chairman, Ajay Langer Convener and Bansi Lal Gupta, Senior Vice President Association of Industries, Gangyal were also present.
During the course of discussions, Mahajan raised the issues related to industrial sector of J&K in respect of one time opportunity to file GST refund claims, reimbursement of CGST/SGST State budgetary support to industrial units of J&K in the light of Court interim order on employment clause, denial of budgetary support to industrial units engaged in the roasting of froundnuts by Commercial Tax Department Jammu, denial of budgetary support to industrial units engaged in the manufacturing of cement bricks and cement tiles and extension of time in respect of amnesty for settlement of unresolved issue in the old tax regime for smooth implementation of GST.
Mahajan also raised the issue regarding the delay in the release of provisional amount of SGST/CGST refund claim of eligible units as assured by the Government resulting blockage of working capital of the units since last one year.
M Raju, Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by FOIJ and assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
