FMPHWs to stage protest demonstration on Aug 16

JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) Welfare Association will stage a one day protest demonstration at DHS Complex Jammu on August 16 in support of their demands.
This was decided in a meeting of the Association chaired by its President, Neelam Kumari.
Kumari listed demands of her Association as delinking of CSS salary from funding sources and release of the pending salary since March, 2018 that job functions of FMPHWs must be fixed at par other working categories of health sector and up-gradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Technician, X-Ray Technician, Dental Technician and Ophthalmic Technician.
Other demands included creation of the post of LHVs in new PHCs and seniority list of FMPHWs should be published in the Official Website of Health Department.
The Association further demanded that 50 per cent quota should be allotted in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators and amendment of SRO 20 dated: 20-04-1992 which is pending in the administrative department for the last 27 years.
Association has appealed to the higher authorities to concede their demands as soon as it is possible.
Prominent amongst those who attended the meeting were Surya Akhter, Sapna Gupta, General Secretary, Kamla Devi, Soma Devi, Pushpa Devi, Swaran Kour, Rani Devi, Urmil Devi, Mamta Devi, Gayatri Devi, Kiran Bala, Tubsam, Jagbir Kour, Manjeet Kour, Sunita Devi, Pooja Devi, Shashi Bala, Anchal Devi and others.
