Five injured in separate road mishaps Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Feb 23: Five persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in outskirts of this winter capital of the State.
According to a police spokesman, two speeding cars collided this evening in Nagrota area. He said that three occupants of one of the cars injured in the mishap. “The injured were identified as a 52-year-old woman namely Ridwana Akhter wife of Mohd Yaqoob, resident of Banihal, and her two children namely Sumaya Jaan (20) and Khan Adan (30)”, he added.
A pedestrian identified as Bilal Ahmed (35) son of Gulam Ahmed, resident of Janipur, was hit and injured by a rashly driven Tata Mobile at Janipur. Another pedestrian got injured at Simbal Morh when an unknown vehicle hit him.
All the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
