First study centre of IMTTI opened in Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 29: The first study centre of International Montessori Teacher Training Institute (IMTTI) was opened here at Buta Nagar, near police station Janipur.
The centre was inaugurated by MLA and State BJP president, Sat Sharma, who was the chief guest on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that the centre will help meet the growing demand for Montessori teachers as well as to impart theoretical, practical and hands on training to people who wish to start their own schools.
IMTTI is a certified Montessori training institute with a chain of 385 + branches spread across the length and breadth of the country. IMTTI is recognized by the International Accreditation Organization, USA and affiliated to Bharat Sevak Samaj and International Montessori Council, USA.
Speaking on the occasion, proprietor of the centre, Ritika Bhatia, said that at IMTTI they promote Montessori education i.e. a system of education which respects the natural development of the child and has a child centered educational approach based on scientific observations which aids to be much beneficial rather than the use of formal teaching methods.
“Our objective is to spread awareness about the Montessori philosophies and methodologies to all corners of the world and instill in every student the light of the Montessori guiding spirit”, she added.
